Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Management Thinking (IJMT) requires all manuscripts to be prepared using the official IJMT Manuscript Template. This guideline outlines the required manuscript structure and explains the purpose of each section to help authors prepare complete, well-structured, and publication-ready submissions.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Originality: The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal.
  • Anonymisation: The main manuscript file has been anonymised and contains no author-identifying information to support the double-blind peer-review process.
  • Abstract and Keywords: An abstract and 6–8 relevant keywords have been included.
  • Figures, Tables, and References: All figures and tables are directly relevant to the study, properly numbered, captioned, and cited within the text. References and in-text citations are complete, accurate, and formatted in accordance with APA style (latest edition).
  • File Format and Compliance: The text is 1.15-spaced, uses a 11-point Times New Roman font, and the submission file is in an acceptable editable format (Microsoft Word), complying with the journal's Article Format Structure and Author Guidelines.
  • Author Approval: All authors have reviewed, approved, and agreed to the submission of the manuscript.
  • ORCID Requirement: Valid ORCID iDs have been provided for all authors in accordance with the journal's ORCID policy.
  • Ethical Compliance: Where applicable, the manuscript includes information regarding ethical approval, informed consent, and compliance with relevant research ethics requirements.
  • AI Disclosure: Where applicable, the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been disclosed in accordance with the journal's Plagiarism and AI Policy.
  • Conflict of Interest and Funding Disclosure: Any funding sources and potential conflicts of interest have been appropriately disclosed within the manuscript.
  • Acknowledgements: Where applicable, acknowledgements have been included to recognize individuals, institutions, or organizations that contributed to the study but do not meet the criteria for authorship.
  • Author Contributions: An Author Contributions statement has been included in accordance with the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) or the journal's equal-contribution statement, as appropriate.
